Game Description
Seaman is a virtual pet simulation game developed by Vivarium and released for the Sega Dreamcast in 1999. The game tasks players with raising and caring for a strange creature known as a Seaman, which is a cross between a fish and a human face.
Gameplay consists of feeding and nurturing the Seaman, as well as conversing with it through a microphone peripheral. The Seaman has a unique personality that changes over time, and players must adapt their care routines to suit its needs. The game also features a unique art style and surreal sense of humor, with the Seaman frequently breaking the fourth wall to comment on the player’s actions. In addition, the game contains several puzzles and minigames that unlock new features and insights into the Seaman’s world.Despite its quirky premise and unorthodox gameplay, Seaman received critical acclaim for its innovative design and deep emotional connections with players. The game has since gained a cult following and is widely regarded as one of the most unique and memorable games of its era.
