“BioShock” is a first-person shooter video game developed by Irrational Games (later known as 2K Boston and then Irrational Games again) and published by 2K Games. It was released in 2007 for various platforms, including Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. The game is often regarded as one of the greatest video games of all time and is praised for its storytelling, atmosphere, and gameplay.

The game is set in an underwater city called Rapture, built in the 1940s by the visionary entrepreneur Andrew Ryan. Rapture was intended to be a utopia, a place where individuals could be free from government regulation and social constraints. However, the city has fallen into disarray due to a genetic material called ADAM, which grants superhuman abilities but also drives people into madness.

The player takes on the role of Jack, a survivor of a plane crash who finds himself in Rapture. Throughout the game, players use a combination of traditional weapons and genetic modifications known as Plasmids to fight enemies and solve puzzles. Plasmids allow the player to shoot lightning, freeze enemies, and use other unique abilities. The game also features a morality system, where the player’s actions can have different consequences on the outcome of the story.
