Protostar: War on the Frontier Description
Protostar: War on the Frontier is a science fiction-themed strategy video game developed by Tsunami Media and published by Sierra On-Line in 1993. The game takes place in the 26th century and sees the player taking on the role of a captain of a starship on a mission to save humanity from a deadly alien threat known as the “Specters”. The gameplay involves managing resources and upgrading the ship, recruiting crew members, engaging in space combat, and exploring the galaxy. Protostar received praise for its graphics, music, and deep gameplay mechanics, but criticized for its high difficulty level.
