Game Description
Daley Thompson’s Decathlon is a sports game developed and published by Ocean Software in 1984. The game is named after the British Olympic decathlete, Daley Thompson, who also provided input for the game’s development. The player takes on the role of Thompson and competes in the ten events of the decathlon, including the 100-meter dash, the long jump, the shot put, the high jump, the 400-meter race, the 110-meter hurdles, the discus throw, the pole vault, the javelin throw, and the 1,500-meter race. The game features a joystick and keyboard control system and supports up to four players. It was a commercial success and widely regarded as one of the best sports games of the 1980s.
