Game Description

Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Hillsfar is a video game released in 1989 for various computer platforms, including the Amiga, Commodore 64, DOS, and NES. The game is set in the Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) universe and is an action role-playing game with a mix of adventure game elements.

In the game, the player assumes the role of a character in a medieval fantasy world and travels through various towns and environments to complete quests and earn experience points. The player can customize their character by choosing their race, class, and skills, and can acquire weapons, armor, and spells to aid in combat.

Hillsfar was notable for its inclusion of mini-games that simulated different aspects of D&D gameplay, such as swordfighting, archery, and lockpicking. The game also featured a password system that allowed players to save their progress and return to the game later.

While Hillsfar received mixed reviews upon its release, it has since gained a cult following among fans of the D&D franchise and is considered an early example of a video game adaptation of the tabletop game.
