The God of War franchise is a popular action-adventure video game series developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The series debuted in 2005 on the PlayStation 2 console and has since been released on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC.

The God of War games follow the story of Kratos, a Spartan warrior who sets out on a quest for revenge against the gods of Olympus. The games are known for their intense combat system, epic boss battles, and cinematic presentation.
