The Culdcept video game franchise is a series of hybrid board and card games developed by Omiya Soft and published by NEC Interchannel (now known as Marvelous Inc.) and NIS America. The series has been released on multiple platforms including PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
The first game in the series, titled “Culdcept,” was released in Japan in 1997 for the PlayStation console. It combined elements of a board game and a collectible card game, where players would move around a board and use their collected cards to build and defend territories.
