Game Description
Wizard and the Princess is a classic adventure video game developed and published by On-Line Systems, later known as Sierra On-Line. The game was released in 1980 for the Apple II computer, and later ported to various other systems.
In Wizard and the Princess, the player takes on the role of a brave adventurer who must rescue a princess from an evil wizard. The game is played from a first-person perspective and features a text-based interface that allows the player to interact with the game world by typing in commands.
The game was notable for its use of color graphics and its non-linear gameplay, which allowed the player to explore the game world in any order they chose. It was also one of the first adventure games to feature a save-game feature, which allowed players to save their progress and continue playing at a later time.
Wizard and the Princess was well received by critics and is considered a classic of the adventure game genre. Its success helped establish Sierra On-Line as one of the leading developers of adventure games in the 1980s.
