Virtual On: Cyber Troopers Description
Virtual On: Cyber Troopers is a port of Sega’s arcade game of the same name. The game is primarily a fighter that allows you to do battle with one of eight robots: Apharmd, Bal-Bas-Bow, Belgdor, Dorkas, Fei-Yen, Raiden, Temjin, or Viper II. Each of the robots has their own strengths and weaknesses as well as a variety of individual weapons.
Battles take place in one of ten fully rendered arenas. The camera follows you from behind as you shoot, dive, and leap into the air, raining electric death onto those below. Use buildings as cover and remember to keep tabs on your energy usage. If you’re too trigger-happy you’ll find that your power levels will be nil. While controls for the game can be altered, this game is designed to be used with the Sega Twin Sticks controller.
Virtual On: Cyber Troopers is a cross between the MechWarrior games and Virtua Fighter series with a heavy influence by Japanese anime. The look of the game resembles Japanese animation with 3D fighting sequences similar to Virtua Fighter.
