Game Description

Sopwith: The Author’s Edition is a classic video game that was originally released in 1984. It was created by David L. Clark and Lance Haffner, and it was named after the Sopwith Camel, a World War I biplane. The game is a side-scrolling shooter, where the player controls a Sopwith biplane and must fight against enemy planes, blimps, and tanks. The game has a simple but addictive gameplay that requires the player to dodge enemy fire and destroy enemy targets. Sopwith: The Author’s Edition features updated graphics and sound, as well as new levels and enemies that were not present in the original version. The game has received critical acclaim for its challenging gameplay, retro feel, and nostalgic appeal.
