Game Description
SimHealth is a healthcare management simulation game developed by Maxis and released in 1994. The game allows the player to manage various aspects of the American healthcare system, including hospitals, insurance companies, and public health programs. The player can choose to manage one of four health organizations, each with different strengths and weaknesses. As the manager, the player must deal with budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation while trying to balance the needs of patients, doctors, and other stakeholders. The game includes a wide variety of scenarios, such as managing a large-scale epidemic or dealing with budget cuts. The game was designed with input from real-world healthcare professionals and was praised for its educational value.
