Game Description
Renegade is a classic arcade beat ’em up video game developed and published by Technos Japan in 1986. The game was later ported to various home consoles and computer platforms.
In Renegade, the player controls a street fighter named “Mr. K” as he fights his way through a gang-infested city to rescue his kidnapped girlfriend. The game features side-scrolling gameplay, with the player able to punch, kick, and use a variety of weapons to defeat enemies.
The game also features a unique “grab” system, where the player can grab enemies and perform a variety of moves, including throws and ground slams. The game features a variety of different enemy types, each with their own unique moves and fighting styles.
Renegade was one of the first beat ’em up games, and its success helped establish the genre. The game received critical acclaim upon its release, with critics praising its fast-paced gameplay, colorful graphics, and unique fighting mechanics. The game spawned several sequels and spin-offs, including the popular Double Dragon series.
