Game Description
Missile Command is a classic arcade video game developed and published by Atari in 1980. The game is a fixed shooter, in which the player controls a series of defensive missile batteries to protect six cities from being destroyed by incoming enemy missiles.
The player must aim and fire a limited number of missiles to intercept and destroy the enemy missiles before they can reach and destroy the cities. As the game progresses, the number of enemy missiles and their speed and complexity increase, making it more challenging for the player to defend the cities.
Missile Command was a popular game during the golden age of arcade gaming, and it was ported to several home console systems, including the Atari 2600, the Atari 5200, and the Atari 7800. The game has also been included in numerous video game compilations and is regarded as a classic and influential game in the history of video games.
