Game Description
MicroLeague Wrestling is a professional wrestling simulation video game developed by MicroLeague and published by MicroLeague Sports in 1989. The game was released for various home computer systems, including MS-DOS, Commodore 64, and Amiga.
In MicroLeague Wrestling, players take control of their favorite professional wrestlers and compete against each other in a series of matches. The game features digitized graphics of real wrestlers, including Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and the Road Warriors, and allows players to customize their own wrestlers with different moves, strengths, and weaknesses.
The game includes several different match types, including singles, tag team, and six-man tag team matches. The matches take place in a wrestling ring and are played from a top-down perspective, with players using a combination of buttons and joystick movements to perform different wrestling moves and attacks.
MicroLeague Wrestling was praised for its realistic portrayal of professional wrestling and its use of digitized graphics. However, the game was criticized for its slow and clunky gameplay and limited move set. Despite these criticisms, the game remains a cult classic among retro gaming enthusiasts and wrestling fans.
