Game Description
“Lords of Karma” is a video game developed by John Romero and Tom Hall and published by Softdisk Publishing in 1986. The game was developed for the Apple II computer and was later ported to other platforms.
In “Lords of Karma,” the player takes on the role of a Karma Lord, whose task is to help reincarnated souls achieve a higher state of existence. The gameplay involves moving through various levels, each of which presents different challenges and obstacles to be overcome. The game also features a karma system, where the player’s actions can affect their karma level and the outcome of the game.
“Lords of Karma” was the first game developed by Romero and Hall, who later went on to become prominent figures in the video game industry, working on games such as “Doom” and “Commander Keen.” While not widely known, “Lords of Karma” is notable for its early use of RPG elements in a platformer-style game.
