Game Description
Joust is a popular arcade game released by Williams Electronics in 1982. In the game, the player controls a knight on a flying ostrich, using a lance to joust against enemy knights also riding on flying ostriches. The game is known for its unique gameplay mechanics and its cooperative two-player mode, where players work together to defeat the enemy knights.
Joust was created by John Newcomer, who was inspired by his love of medieval history and bird watching. The game was a commercial success and has since been ported to numerous home consoles and personal computers, as well as being included in various arcade game compilations. Joust has also inspired numerous sequels and spin-offs, as well as influencing the development of other popular arcade games.
