Game Description
Harrier Attack is a shoot ’em up video game developed by Durell Software and published by Imagine Software in 1984 for various home computer systems including the Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, and Amstrad CPC.
In the game, the player controls a Harrier jet and must destroy enemy aircraft and ground targets while avoiding obstacles such as mountains and enemy fire. The game features both horizontal and vertical scrolling levels, as well as a fuel meter that must be refilled by landing the jet on a runway.
Harrier Attack was well-received upon release and is often cited as one of the best shoot ’em up games of its era. Its success helped establish Durell Software as a major player in the UK home computer gaming industry.
