Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s Description
“Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s” is a music rhythm game developed by Harmonix Music Systems and published by RedOctane. It was released for the PlayStation 2 on July 24, 2007, in North America and on August 31, 2007, in Europe. As a standalone expansion of the “Guitar Hero” series, the game features popular rock songs from the 1980s. It includes 30 tracks from various artists such as Twisted Sister, Poison, and Judas Priest. The game mechanics and controls are the same as its predecessor, with players using a guitar-shaped controller to simulate playing lead, bass, and rhythm guitar parts. The game features both single-player and multiplayer modes, including cooperative play and head-to-head battles. The game received positive reviews for its song selection and nostalgic appeal to the 80s era of rock music.
