Game Description

“Golf” is a video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1984. It was one of the launch titles for the NES in North America, alongside games like “Duck Hunt,” “Excitebike,” and “Super Mario Bros.”

In “Golf,” players use a simplified version of the rules and controls of the real-life sport to compete in a virtual 18-hole course. The game features various obstacles and challenges, such as sand traps, water hazards, and trees, that players must navigate around to complete each hole in as few strokes as possible.

Despite its relatively simple graphics and gameplay, “Golf” was well-received by critics and players alike and is considered a classic of early NES gaming. It was also notable for its inclusion of the character Ossan, who would later be known in the West as the “Old Man” from “The Legend of Zelda” series.
