Game Description
Galaga is a classic arcade video game developed and published by Namco in 1981. It is a sequel to the game Galaxian, which was released the year before. Galaga is a space shooter game in which the player controls a spaceship and must defeat waves of enemy aliens by shooting at them while avoiding their attacks.
The game features a unique enemy formation known as the “Galaga formation,” in which the aliens move in a pattern that resembles the letter “V.” The game also includes a bonus stage in which the player must shoot down all the enemy aliens in a set amount of time to earn extra points.
Galaga was a commercial success and became one of the most popular arcade games of the 1980s. It has since been ported to numerous home consoles and computer systems, and is considered a classic of the arcade era. It has also inspired numerous sequels, remakes, and spiritual successors, and continues to be celebrated as a classic of the video game industry.
