Game Description
Duck Hunt is a light gun shooter video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). It was released in Japan in April 1984, and in North America in October of the same year.
In the game, players use the NES Zapper light gun to shoot ducks that appear on the screen. The game has three different modes: Game A, Game B, and Game C. Game A is a single-player mode where players shoot ducks to progress through levels. Game B is a two-player alternating mode, and Game C is a clay shooting mode where players shoot clay pigeons instead of ducks.
Duck Hunt was well received and is considered a classic NES game. Its use of the NES Zapper light gun was seen as innovative and helped popularize the peripheral. The game was included as a pack-in title with many NES consoles, further increasing its popularity.
