Game Description

Driver is an action-driving game developed by Reflections Interactive and released for the PlayStation in 1999. The game puts players in the role of Tanner, an undercover cop tasked with taking down a gang of car thieves in Miami, New York, and Los Angeles.

Gameplay consists of driving through open-world environments, completing missions and evading police pursuit. The game’s physics engine allows for realistic car handling, with players able to perform stunts and jumps while being pursued.

Driver also features a cinematic presentation, with cutscenes and scripted sequences adding to the game’s story and atmosphere. In addition, the game contains several unlockable modes and challenges, including a time trial mode and a “Cops and Robbers” mode where players can take on the role of a police officer.

Driver was a groundbreaking game at the time of its release, with its open-world design and realistic driving physics setting a new standard for the genre. The game’s success led to several sequels and spin-offs, cementing its place in gaming history.
