Game Description
Chessbase 1.0 is a chess
database program developed by Matthias Wüllenweber and Frederic Friedel. It
was first released in 1986 and allowed users to manage large collections of
chess games. Chessbase 1.0 was the first software to introduce the concept of
a “game database” to the world of chess, and it paved the way for
modern chess databases.
