Game Description
“Beyond Castle Wolfenstein” is a computer game developed by Silas Warner and published by Muse Software in 1984. It is a sequel to the popular game Castle Wolfenstein, which was released in 1981.
In Beyond Castle Wolfenstein, the player takes on the role of an American spy who has infiltrated the Nazi stronghold of Castle Wolfenstein. The goal of the game is to navigate through the castle, avoiding guards and traps, and ultimately assassinate Adolf Hitler.
The game was notable for its advanced graphics and sound effects, which were impressive for the time. It was also one of the first games to use multiple disk sides to store data, allowing for a larger game world.
Beyond Castle Wolfenstein received generally positive reviews upon release, with critics praising its improved graphics and gameplay compared to the original game. However, it was criticized for its high difficulty level and lack of save points. Despite this, the game was a commercial success and helped to establish the first-person stealth genre of video games.
