The game is set in a fantasy world called Ancardia, where players control a customizable character who must explore a vast network of dungeons, fight monsters, collect loot, and complete quests. ADOM features turn-based gameplay, permadeath, and a wide variety of character classes, races, and skills, providing a high level of replayability. The game has gained a cult following over the years and is known for its challenging gameplay, complex mechanics, and intricate storyline.
