list of Wizards & Warriors video gamesThe Wizards & Warriors video game franchise is a series of action-adventure games developed by Rare and published by Acclaim Entertainment. The franchise began with the release of the first game, Wizards & Warriors, for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1987.

The game was followed by two sequels: Ironsword: Wizards & Warriors II in 1989 and Wizards & Warriors III: Kuros: Visions of Power in 1992. All three games featured the hero Kuros, a knight on a quest to defeat the evil wizard Malkil and save the kingdom of Elrond.

The games were known for their challenging gameplay, platforming elements, and unique fantasy setting. They were also notable for their music, which was composed by renowned video game composer David Wise.

In addition to the main trilogy, there was also a spin-off game called Wizards & Warriors X: The Fortress of Fear, released for the Game Boy in 1990. This game featured a different protagonist and gameplay style, but still retained the fantasy setting and platforming elements of the main series.

Despite the popularity of the franchise in the late 80s and early 90s, there have been no new Wizards & Warriors games since the release of Wizards & Warriors III in 1992. However, the franchise has remained a beloved classic among retro gaming enthusiasts.
