The Streets of Rage franchise is a classic beat ’em up video game series that was created by Sega. The series began in 1991 with the release of the original game, Streets of Rage, on the Sega Genesis.

The games are set in a crime-ridden city where players control a group of vigilantes who take on the criminal underworld. The gameplay involves moving through various levels, defeating enemies, and fighting bosses at the end of each level.
