Road Rash is a series of motorcycle racing games developed and published by Electronic Arts (EA). The first game in the series was released in 1991 for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive console, and subsequent installments were released for various platforms, including PlayStation, PC, and Game Boy Advance.
The gameplay of Road Rash revolves around illegal street races, in which the player character competes against other racers on a variety of courses while trying to avoid getting knocked off their motorcycle by other racers or obstacles. The series is known for its high-speed action, brutal combat, and iconic weapon selection, which includes chains, clubs, and nunchucks.
Road Rash games were released fairly regularly throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, with the last official entry being Road Rash: Jailbreak, which was released for the Game Boy Advance in 2003. Despite the series’ popularity, no new games have been announced in recent years, and the franchise is considered to be dormant.
