R.C. Pro-Am is a classic racing video game franchise that was developed by Rare and published by Nintendo. The franchise includes two main titles: R.C. Pro-Am and R.C. Pro-Am II.
The first game in the series, R.C. Pro-Am, was released in 1988 for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). It is a racing game where players control remote-controlled cars and compete in a series of races. The game features power-ups, such as bombs and missiles, which can be used to slow down opponents. The game received critical acclaim for its addictive gameplay and innovative design, and it spawned a sequel.
R.C. Pro-Am II was released in 1992, also for the NES. It features similar gameplay to its predecessor, but with enhanced graphics and new power-ups, such as the ability to transform into a boat or plane. It also introduced a new multiplayer mode that allowed up to four players to compete against each other.
Since the release of R.C. Pro-Am II, there have been no new entries in the franchise. However, the original R.C. Pro-Am has been re-released on various platforms, including the Game Boy Advance and Xbox Live Arcade. The game remains a classic in the racing game genre and is still enjoyed by fans of retro gaming.
