list of Gex video gamesThe Gex game franchise is a series of platforming games that feature the titular character Gex, a wisecracking gecko who travels through different worlds to save the day. The franchise was developed by Crystal Dynamics and originally published by Crystal Dynamics and BMG Interactive.

The first game in the series, simply titled “Gex,” was released in 1994 for the 3DO console. The game received positive reviews for its humorous tone and innovative use of 2D and 3D graphics. The game was later ported to other platforms, including the PlayStation and Saturn.

The sequel, “Gex: Enter the Gecko,” was released in 1998 for the PlayStation, Nintendo 64, and PC. The game continued the series’ tradition of mixing platforming with humor and pop culture references, and received generally positive reviews.

The third game in the series, “Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko,” was released in 1999 for the PlayStation, Nintendo 64, and PC. The game continued the series’ formula but introduced new gameplay mechanics, such as underwater levels and stealth missions. The game was well-received by critics.

After “Gex 3,” the franchise was put on hold and no new games have been released since. However, Gex has made cameo appearances in other games such as “Enter the Matrix” and “MLB SlugFest 20-04.” Despite its relatively short run, the Gex franchise has maintained a dedicated fanbase, with many fans hoping for a new entry in the series.
