List of Galaga Video Games and Stats (2024)

Galaga is a classic arcade-style shoot-em-up video game franchise that has been around since the 1980s. The franchise’s first game, also called Galaga, was released by Namco in 1981 as a sequel to the earlier game, Galaxian.

In the game, players control a spaceship and must defend themselves against waves of alien attackers. The gameplay is simple, with players able to move their ship horizontally across the bottom of the screen and shoot at the enemy ships above. The game is known for its challenging difficulty, fast-paced action, and iconic enemy designs, including the “Galaga” aliens that attempt to capture the player’s ship.

Over the years, Galaga has been re-released on numerous platforms and has inspired various spin-off games and sequels, including Galaga ’88, Galaga Legions, and Galaga Wars.
