list of Colin McRae Rally video gamesThe Colin McRae Rally video game franchise is a racing simulation game series that focuses on the sport of rally racing. The series is named after the late Scottish rally driver Colin McRae, who won the World Rally Championship in 1995.

The first game in the series, Colin McRae Rally, was released in 1998 for the PlayStation, PC, and Game Boy Color. It was well-received for its realistic physics and handling, and spawned several sequels.

The second game, Colin McRae Rally 2.0, was released in 2000 and featured improved graphics and physics. It was followed by Colin McRae Rally 3 in 2002, which was the first game in the series to be released for the Xbox and PlayStation 2 consoles.

Colin McRae Rally 04 was released in 2004, followed by Colin McRae Rally 2005 in 2005. The latter game introduced a new “Career Mode” that allowed players to build their own rally team and compete in a full championship season.

After the death of Colin McRae in a helicopter crash in 2007, the series was renamed Dirt and has continued with several more installments. However, some of the games in the Dirt series have included the name “Colin McRae” in their titles as a tribute to the late driver.
