The Armored Core video game franchise is a series of action games that focus on controlling giant mecha called “Armored Cores” or “ACs.” The franchise was created by FromSoftware and the first game, titled “Armored Core,” was released for the PlayStation in 1997.
The gameplay of the Armored Core series revolves around customizing and piloting your own AC in a variety of missions, which can range from escorting convoys to destroying enemy installations. The games feature a deep level of customization options for your AC, allowing you to choose from a variety of parts and weapons to create your ideal fighting machine.
Over the years, the Armored Core franchise has released numerous sequels and spin-offs, including “Armored Core 2,” “Armored Core: Nexus,” and “Armored Core V.” The series has received critical acclaim for its deep customization options, challenging gameplay, and detailed graphics.
The franchise has also inspired a number of anime adaptations, such as “Armored Core: Fort Tower Song” and “Armored Core: Last Raven.” Despite the last main installment being released in 2013, the Armored Core franchise has a dedicated fan base and there is still a lot of interest in a new game being developed.
